Life in the Spirit, Your Divine Miracle

Jesus did not come to earth just to be my example of how to live. He came to earth to make a way for Himself to live in me, and do the works of the Father. Jesus is alive today on a greater scale than he was when his physical body was here on earth. Jesus lived here, taught here, did miracles to showcase the Glory of God; then paid the price in full so that his spirit could live in God's children. The Holy Ghost is the spirit of God. The Holy Ghost, Jesus' spirit, not only lives in me, but it is alive in me to canvas the globe with the works of God Himself. I need to train my spirit man, and develop the spirit part of me so that I may communicate and walk in unity, harmony and fellowship with the holy ghost.

Jesus was a miracle. If you think about it, the first miracle that was performed on Jesus’ behalf was when Mary conceived Him. God took His own Spirit and created flesh that would showcase the works of Himself on the earth, not only to redeem mankind from death, but to deliver them from every sickness, oppression, and hindrance. In obedience to the Father, Jesus lived on earth as a man anointed by God, but did not do any mighty works until God publicly proclaimed His sonship. After that point, Jesus verbally told the world His purpose.

Luke 4:18, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,”

Throughout Jesus’ earthly ministry, He did exactly that. He delivered the captive and healed the sick. He restored the broken and implemented the power of God on the earth. That wasn’t the end of His ministry, He then paid the price in full so that His spirit could live in God's children. Jesus went to the cross and made the way for the Spirit of God to live in every one that would receive. By doing this, He made the way for me to do everything that He did.

Acts 1:8a, “But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you.”

This is the power that is talked about in Mark 16 when Jesus said, “And these signs shall follow them that believe. In my name, they shall cast out devils…they shall lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

The miracle working power of God is resident in believers, in me. The Spirit of Christ gives us the ability to perform the miracles that Jesus did. God is not a God of inactivity. It’s His desire for every human to hear the gospel, to know His voice, and to be whole spirit, soul, and body. Jesus ‘went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of devils’. We don’t just read about Jesus doing miracles, we also see the disciples performing miracles in the name of Jesus. Jesus would send them out in groups to heal the multitudes, and when he ascended, He told them to lay hands on the sick and watch them recover. He wasn’t just talking to the 500 that were standing there, He was talking to every person that would obey His commands and share in His life.

Earlier I stated, “Jesus is alive today on a greater scale than he was when his physical body was here on earth.” How is that possible? He Lives IN ME, He Lives IN the Believers- and we are canvassing the globe with the Glory of God, through miracles. The Miracle Working Power Of God Flows Through My Life Because I Am A Disciple Of Christ.
